Seed Packet Debut

Moonlight Micro-Farm Seed Packets

. . . and there’s a story for everything.

  • Chandra (Sanskrit) = moonlight, cycle of creation, deity in charge of crops and medicinal plants
  • Chandra’s a permaculturist = cycle of life, produce no waste, make soil, and all that good stuff
  • Chandra’s a designer = design is ubiquitous, even in the humble outhouse – a symbol of a part of the life cycle
  • American outhouses typically had a half moon carved into the door to allow for light and ventilation, though some say the moon was representative of the ladies outhouse (sun for men) for those citizenry who were illiterate.

I like to think the moonlight shone through the half moon.
