We haven’t posted much about growing food lately, as we’ve been going through a lot of transition with the move. My hope is to bring my readers some insight into how we are “making other arrangements” in response and in preparation for a future on the other side of energy descent. When we pull one thread in the web, we find it’s connected to all the others…economics, food, housing, community. As of today, our growing areas haven’t been developed, but this hasn’t stopped us from soaking some seeds and prepping them for market.
Here’s a sneak peak at how our sprouts start their little lives. Not much to see at this point. If all goes well, we’ll have mung bean sprouts at the market this weekend. Keep your fingers crossed!
